Choose the panel for the layout
Panels are laid out in the size of the chosen panel. In the roof editor, pick Panels, press Change and choose from the list or search the whole CEC list. It’s the same panel as in the calculator.
Choose the panel before you fill the roof: how many panels fit depends on their size, and the calculation uses this panel’s power and specs.
Change the panel
Open Panels
Press Panels (N). The card at the right shows the current panel and its size in millimeters.
Press Change
Choose the panel opens with a short list of common panels; Current marks yours and Cali-Graf default the default one.
Search if it’s not there
Type a brand and wattage in Search all CEC modules, e.g. REC 405 — the search covers every panel on the California Energy Commission list. Pick it from the results.
One panel for the editor and the calculator
The calculator’s Panels section and the editor use the same panel — change it in one place and it changes in the other. If panels are already on the roof, a different size leaves them laid out for the old one — see Change the panel after the roof is laid out.
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| No panels match … | Try fewer words — the brand and the wattage, like “Qcells 430”. |
