Cali-Graf

Terms of Service

Effective October 5, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Cali Energy, Inc. (“Cali Energy”, “we”, “us”), which runs Cali-Graf at cali-graf.com. By signing in to or using Cali-Graf, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you use Cali-Graf for a company, you agree to these terms on its behalf and confirm you’re allowed to.

  • Cali-Graf is free. Fair-use limits keep it that way.
  • Your calculations are yours, and you’re the seller of what you propose.
  • Every number is an estimate. Check each proposal before you give it to a customer.
  • Don’t abuse the service or copy Google Maps data out of it.

1. Who can use Cali-Graf

Cali-Graf is for professional use — solar installers, sales reps, contractors and designers. You need to be at least 18 and sign in with a Google account. You’re responsible for what happens in your account, so keep your Google account secure and tell us if you think someone else has used it.

2. The service is free

Cali-Graf costs nothing to use. We may add optional paid features later; we’ll tell you in advance and never charge you without your agreement. We improve Cali-Graf all the time, so features may change, and we may limit or stop parts of it. If we ever shut Cali-Graf down completely, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice and a way to get a copy of your data.

3. Fair use and limits

Every new house costs us money in Google Maps requests, so each account has daily limits on new houses, calculations and PDFs. Normal work stays well within them; if you need more, write to us. You agree not to:

  • use bots, scrapers or scripts to access Cali-Graf, or overload it;
  • copy, download, store or resell map imagery, roof, solar or shade data outside Cali-Graf;
  • use Cali-Graf to build a competing product or database;
  • share your account, or open extra accounts to get around the limits;
  • probe, break or bypass Cali-Graf’s security, or reverse engineer it;
  • enter information you have no right to use, or use Cali-Graf for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful.

4. Your content

You own the calculations and proposals you create. You give us permission to store, process and display them only to run Cali-Graf for you, as the Privacy Policy describes. You’re responsible for what you enter: that you have the right to use your customers’ information, that it’s accurate, and that you’ve given any notices or obtained any consents the law requires. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely.

5. Estimates, not guarantees

Cali-Graf estimates roof shape, shade, solar production, utility bills, savings, payback and financing from public data — Google Solar imagery, NSRDB weather, utility tariffs, equipment lists — and from what you enter. Real results depend on weather, usage, the installation, the equipment, utility rules and rate changes, and they will differ. Tariffs and incentives change; we keep them updated but can’t promise they’re current on any given day. Cali-Graf isn’t an engineering, structural, electrical or permit design, and it doesn’t replace a site visit or review by a licensed professional.

6. Your proposals and your customers

You’re the seller of what you propose. Before you give a proposal to a customer, check every number and assumption in it. You’re responsible for your offers, prices and contracts, your licenses, the disclosures the law requires (in California, for example, the Solar Energy System Disclosure Document and the CPUC Solar Consumer Protection Guide), and for following consumer protection, privacy and telemarketing laws. Cali Energy isn’t a party to your agreements with your customers and doesn’t endorse your company.

7. Google Maps

Cali-Graf includes Google Maps features and content. Your use of them is subject to the then-current Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Don’t remove or hide Google’s logos or attribution. If you break Google’s terms, we may suspend your access to Google Maps features or to Cali-Graf.

8. Our property

Cali-Graf — its software, models, design, name and logo — belongs to Cali Energy. These terms let you use it; they don’t give you any ownership of it.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using Cali-Graf and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or that the law requires us to close. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you first and let you get a copy of your data.

10. Disclaimers

Cali-Graf is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement — to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t promise that Cali-Graf will always be available, error-free or that its estimates will match real results.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Cali Energy isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business, arising from your use of Cali-Graf. Because Cali-Graf is free, our total liability for any claim about it is limited to $100.

12. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against Cali Energy because of your proposals, your dealings with your customers, the information you entered or your breach of these terms, you’ll cover the resulting losses and reasonable costs, including legal fees.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date, and for important changes we’ll tell you in Cali-Graf or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Cali-Graf after that, the new terms apply.
