Calculate doesn’t work

Calculate runs only when the calculation has everything it needs — an address on a supported utility, a roof with panels, a full year of usage and matching equipment. The message under the button says what’s missing.

The message under Calculate names the first thing to fix. The sections on the left show which part still needs work.

Home and roof

What you see	What to do
Find the customer’s address to start.	Open Roof and find the address.
… tariff not supported yet — the calculator covers LADWP and SCE.	The home is on another utility — see Supported utilities and areas.
No roof data for this address.	Google has no roof data for the home — see Address not found or no aerial data.
Design the roof first: press “Design roof ↗” above the map, trace the roof and place panels.	Open the roof editor and draw the roof.
The roof design has no panels yet — place them in the roof editor (Edit design ↗ above the map).	Fill the roof with panels — see Fill the roof with panels.
The panel changed after the roof was laid out: …	Re-lay out the roof — see Change the panel after the roof is laid out.

Usage

What you see	What to do
Fill kWh for all … bills (… missing), or switch to Yearly total.	Fill every bill — see Enter usage from bills.
Enter the yearly total in kWh, or switch to Bills.	Type the yearly kWh.
Upload the customer’s Green Button file (12 months), or switch to Yearly total or Bills.	Upload the file, or use another way to enter usage.
Check the bill dates: each period must end after it starts.	Fix the dates with Edit dates.

Equipment and limits

Choose matching equipment.	The panel, inverter or battery don’t work together — see Equipment compatibility check.
Too many requests — try again in …	Wait the time shown, then calculate once.
