Changes not saved or a design came back different
Cali-Graf saves every change on its own. If the connection drops, changes wait in this browser and are sent later. If two tabs or devices edit the same roof, the newer saved version wins — History brings back an earlier one.
How saving works in general: How your work is saved. Below is what each message means and how to get your work back.
Saving
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Offline | The roof editor can’t reach the server. Keep working; changes are kept in this browser and sent when the connection is back. Don’t clear the browser’s data meanwhile. |
| Could not save … — the changes are kept in this browser and saved when the connection is back | The same in the calculator. Nothing to do but wait for the connection. |
| Could not save to this calculation: … | The server refused the change. Reload the page and make the change again. If it keeps happening, write to calisolargroup@gmail.com with the message. |
If your sign-in runs out, Cali-Graf asks you to sign in again; unsent changes wait in the browser and are sent after you sign in.
The design came back different
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| This house has a newer saved design — opened it instead of the unsaved changes in this browser | While this browser was offline, the roof was saved from another tab or device. The newer saved version opens; the unsent changes from this browser are dropped. Make them again if you need them. |
| Loaded the latest saved design — it was changed outside this tab | The roof was changed in another tab or by a new panel in the calculator. You see the current design. |
| The saved drawing for this house was damaged and was not loaded | A copy kept in this browser was broken. The design saved in your account opens instead. |
| The saved drawing could not be shown and was reset | The editor started with an empty roof. Open History and pick the last good version. |
Bring back an earlier version
Press History in the top bar of the roof editor and pick a version — Undo takes you back if it’s the wrong one.
