What Cali-Graf doesn’t do yet

An honest list of what Cali-Graf can’t do today — other utilities, some rate plans and discounts, commercial and ground-mounted systems, add-ons to existing solar, rebates, permit drawings and shared team accounts — and what to do instead.

Utilities, rates and discounts

Not yet	What to do instead
Utilities other than LADWP and SCE — Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena, other city utilities, SDG&E, PG&E	You can design the roof, but the bills can’t be calculated.
LADWP time-of-use rate (R-1B)	Cali-Graf calculates LADWP homes on the standard residential rate.
LADWP EZ-SAVE and Lifeline discounts	Bills are calculated without the discount, so the savings shown can come out higher than the customer’s.
SCE FERA, Medical Baseline and the all-electric baseline	CARE is supported. For these, the bills before solar — and the savings — can come out higher than the customer’s.
A Clean Power Alliance plan other than the city’s default	Cali-Graf uses the plan the city puts customers on by default.
Picking the utility by hand	The utility comes from the address. If it’s wrong, check the pin is on the right house.

Types of jobs

Not yet	What to do instead
Commercial and multifamily buildings	Cali-Graf is built for single-family homes.
Ground-mounted arrays and carports	Only panels on roofs. A garage or ADU roof on the same lot is fine.
Adding panels to a home that already has solar	The calculation assumes no existing system.

Money and paperwork

Not yet	What to do instead
SGIP battery rebates and local rebates	Leave them out of the price, or lower the price by the rebate yourself and say so to the customer.
Loans for every company	Every account can make cash proposals. Loan programs appear only for companies whose lender is set up in Cali-Graf.
Your own logo and payment schedule on the proposal	The proposal carries your business card — name, company, license, phone, email.
Permit plan sets, single-line diagrams and string sizing	Cali-Graf is a design and sales tool, not an engineering or permit design.

Accounts

Not yet	What to do instead
Shared team accounts and moving calculations between accounts	Each person signs in with their own Google account and sees only their own calculations.
