- What Cali-Graf doesCali-Graf is a free web app for solar installers and sales reps. Trace the roof on Google aerial imagery, model production and the LADWP or SCE bills before and after solar, and make a proposal PDF for the homeowner.
- Sign in with Google — and fix sign-in problemsCali-Graf signs you in with your Google account — there’s no separate password. The first sign-in creates your account; Cali-Graf gets only your name, email and photo from Google.
- Make your first calculationFind the customer’s home, trace the roof, enter a year of usage, choose the equipment and the price, then press Calculate and Save PDF. A simple roof takes about five minutes.
- Take the in-app tourThe tour designs solar for a demo home with you — from the address to a finished proposal — in about 5 minutes. Start it with Cali-Graf tutorial at the bottom of the left column.
- Supported utilities and areasCali-Graf calculates bills for homes served by LADWP and SCE, including SCE customers of Clean Power Alliance. Homes on Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena and other city utilities can be designed, but their bills can’t be calculated yet.
- Use Cali-Graf on a phone or tabletCali-Graf works in the browser on a phone or tablet — calculations, the roof editor and the PDF. On a phone the roof editor keeps its tools in a menu; trace complex roofs on a computer or tablet.
- How your work is savedCali-Graf saves every change on its own within a second — there’s no Save button. Calculations live in your account, so you can close the tab and continue on any device. If the connection drops, changes wait in the browser.
- Is Cali-Graf free?Yes. Cali-Graf is free to use — the roof editor, the bill calculation and the proposal PDF — with no trial period and no credit card. Daily fair-use limits keep it that way.
- What Cali-Graf doesn’t do yetAn honest list of what Cali-Graf can’t do today — other utilities, some rate plans and discounts, commercial and ground-mounted systems, add-ons to existing solar, rebates, permit drawings and shared team accounts — and what to do instead.
