Create the proposal PDF — and what it needs first

After you calculate, press Save PDF. In about half a minute Cali-Graf builds the customer proposal — roof design, savings, price and approval — and it downloads to your computer.

Before you make the PDF

  • The calculation is up to date. If the calculator says Inputs changed — recalculate, press Calculate first.
  • An exact inverter is chosen — not Generic inverter (96%). The proposal lists the exact equipment.
  • The solar price is entered in dollars per watt in Price & settings, and every extra has an amount.
  • For a loan, the total financed amount from the lender’s quote is entered.
  • Your business card is filled in. Your name, company, license, phone and email go on the cover, the footer of every sheet and the signature line. Fields you leave empty are left off.

Make the PDF

  1. Press Save PDF

    It’s on the result screen. You’ll see Building the proposal… — it takes about 20–30 seconds: Cali-Graf runs the 25-year forecast and lays out the sheets.

  2. Open the file

    When it says Done — the PDF is downloaded, the proposal is in your downloads. Check it, then send it to the customer.

What’s in the proposal

Your solar systemThe roof design, system size, first-year production and how much of the usage it covers, the equipment, and energy by month.
Your batteryOnly with a battery: how it works in the chosen mode, how much of the home runs on solar, extra savings and backup during outages.
Your savingsOnly when usage is entered: bills without and with solar month by month in the first year, and over 25 years.
Price and approvalThe system price line by line, how the customer pays, what’s included, and the approval and signature.
Your right to cancelThe notice the Contractors State License Board requires: 3 business days to cancel.
