Customer approval and the 3-day right to cancel

The price page ends with the customer’s approval of the chosen option and two signature lines, and every page has a box for initials. The last page is the notice the Contractors State License Board requires — 3 business days to cancel.

The proposal can be signed on the spot. It holds what the customer agrees to and the notice they have the right to receive.

The approval

At the bottom of Price and approval, under “Your approval”, the customer confirms the choice in one sentence — for example: “I approve Option 2 as described in this proposal, paying with cash. I have read my 3-day right to cancel on page 6.” The option and the payment come from the calculation; the page number is filled in.

Below it there are two lines with dates: the customer’s, with their name, and the designer’s, with your name from the business card.

Initials on every page

The footer of every page has a box for the customer’s initials next to the page number, so a signed proposal can’t have pages swapped.

The right to cancel

The last page, Your right to cancel, carries the text required by the Contractors State License Board: the customer has 3 business days to cancel the contract. The source and the date the text was retrieved are printed under it.
