Equipment details: specs, temperature, warranty

The info button on any panel, inverter or battery card opens all its specs — power, electrical data, temperature behavior, warranty and degradation, and the parameters the calculation uses — with the source of every number.

Open it from the info button on a card — its label is All details. Select this panel (or inverter, or battery) at the bottom picks it; Back to panels returns to the list.

Panel

SectionWhat’s in it
Key specsPower at STC and at PTC, datasheet and CEC-area efficiency, module area, technology, bifacial, cells in series.
Electrical at STCVmp, Imp, Voc and Isc — what the compatibility check uses.
TemperatureHow power and voltage change per °C above 25 °C, and the cell temperature in typical sun (NOCT). Hot roofs make less power.
Warranty and degradationProduct and performance warranty, the extended warranty with a certified installer, first-year output, yearly degradation and what’s left at the end.
Engine model parameters (CEC single-diode model)The numbers the production model runs on.

Inverter

Rated AC power and DC power, CEC weighted efficiency, grid voltage, the DC input limits (maximum voltage, MPPT range, current), its own consumption, warranty and the Sandia model parameters the calculation uses.

Battery

Usable and total energy, continuous and peak power, charging from solar and the grid, round-trip efficiency, chemistry and coupling, how many units fit one system, a built-in solar inverter if it has one, warranty in years, cycles or energy throughput, and How the calculation models it: charge and discharge power and the backup reserve.

Where the numbers come from

CEC list

The California Energy Commission’s lists of eligible panels and inverters: power, electrical data and model parameters. The page names the list and its date.

Manufacturer datasheet

Warranty, degradation, datasheet efficiency and size; for batteries, all specs.

A panel that isn’t on the CEC list shows This model is not in the CEC list — only the datasheet values are known.
