Start a new calculation
Press New calculation in the left column of Calculations, then find the customer’s address. One calculation is one home; for another option for the same home, make a copy instead.
A calculation holds everything about one home: the address, the roof, the usage, the equipment, the price, the results and the proposals you made from it.
Start one
Press New calculation
It’s at the top of the left column in Calculations. The calculator opens on the Roof section. If you set starting values in Settings, the price per watt, rate growth and payment are already filled in — see Set defaults for new calculations.
Find the home
Type the address in Customer address, pick it from the list and press Find. Until then, the calculation sits in Calculations as No address yet.
Carry on
Trace the roof, enter the usage and the price, and calculate — Make your first calculation walks through the whole path. Everything saves as you go.
Status in the list
The status in Calculations shows how far a calculation got:
| Status | What’s done |
|---|---|
| New | Nothing yet — no address. |
| Address | The home is found. |
| Roof drawn | The roof design is saved. |
| Calculated | Results are ready. |
| Proposal | At least one PDF was made. With several, the tag shows how many. |
Changing the address
You can change the address freely until you draw the roof. After that the roof belongs to that home, so when you find a different address Cali-Graf asks Start a new calculation?
| Button | What happens |
|---|---|
| Start a new calculation | Cali-Graf makes a new calculation for the new address and opens it. The first one stays in Calculations as it was. |
| Continue with this one | Nothing changes — you stay with the first home. |
