Read the results
After Calculate, the result opens with the yearly savings, the electric bill today and with solar, and how much of the usage solar covers. Below are the price and payback, charts for bills, energy and 25 years, and every number in detail.
The result is the forecast for the first year with solar: your customer’s bills rolled forward one year, at today’s utility rates. Forecast dates in Numbers by period show which months it covers.
The top of the result
- Estimated savings
How much less the customer pays the utility in a year, with the share of the bill and the monthly amount. With a battery it says Estimated savings with solar and battery.
- Electric bill per year
Today, With solar and, with a battery, With battery — side by side.
- Solar covers
The panels’ yearly production as a share of the home’s yearly usage, with both in kWh.
Price and payback
Next comes the money. For cash: System cost, Payback from bill savings, and 25-year savings after paying for the system. For a loan: Loan payment, Bill + payment against the bill without solar, and the 25-year savings after all loan payments. Change price jumps to the price.
Payback reads From year 1 when nothing is paid upfront and the customer saves from the start, and Not within 25 years when the savings don’t cover the price in that time.
