Price & settings
System price, extras, payment and the assumptions behind the savings.
- Set the system priceIn Price & settings, type the solar price per watt — Cali-Graf multiplies it by the system size — plus the battery price and any extras. The total system cost goes into the payback, the 25-year savings and the proposal.
- Add extras: panel upgrade, roof work, trenchingExtra work goes in Price & settings under Extras, one line each — an amount and what it’s for. Every line is added to the system cost and printed in the proposal exactly as you typed it.
- Cash or loanIn Price & settings, choose how the customer pays. Every account has Cash. Loan programs appear only for companies whose lender is set up in Cali-Graf; for those you also pick the product and type the amount from the lender’s quote.
- Rate growth and panel degradationThe 25-year forecast assumes utility rates rise each year — 3.4% unless you change it — and panels lose a little output each year, at the rate from their datasheet. Both shape the 25-year savings.
- Turn shade analysis on or offShade analysis counts the shade of trees, neighbors and chimneys on every panel from Google’s height data. It’s on by default; off, a standard 3% is taken for shade instead. Turn it off only when the shade on the image is gone.
- Federal tax creditThe 30% federal Residential Clean Energy Credit (25D) isn’t available for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025. Cali-Graf doesn’t subtract any federal tax credit from the price, the payback or the savings.
